LAKE MANYARA NATIONAL PARK.

Lake Manyara National Park offers the most spectacular view of the tree-climbing Lions. Nestling at the base of the Great Rift Valley, the park is noted for its numerous Buffalo. Elephant, Sacred 1 bis, Corm ants and Geese. The park is 319sq km. The wall of the Great Rift Valley forms the back drop from where the forest opens up into woodlands, grasslands, swamps and beyond the soda lake itself. It is 130 km from Arusha- about 2 hours drive so can be visited on a day excursion.

Lake Manyara Hotel 
Built on the tip of the great Rift Valley, 4500 feet above sea level, the lodge offers magnificent panoramic views of the national park below, and of the seemingly unending surrounding landscape. Each of the 100 rooms are strategically placed to offer unique views of the surroundings.


Kirurumu Tented Lodge
A luxury tented lodge built on the Gregorian Escarpment of the Great Rift Valley. Kirurumu is sympathetically and unobtrusively built of local materials, inspired by the nearby traditional Mbulu (Iraqw) tribal dwellings.The well spaced tents are private and secluded, each raised on a base of natural stone. Lake Manyara Serena Lodge
The abundant birdlife of Lake Manyara was the inspiration for this 5-star lodge. The unique location of the lodge, also overlooking the soda lake, allows observation of many large and small colourful birds moving in circles and spirals. All 62 bedrooms and the swimming pool take full advantage of the breath -taking view.


Lake Manyara Tree Lodge
The lodge is a sophisticated blend of intimacy and romance, offering privacy and exclusivity in cool, leafy surrounds. Each of the ten tree houses have been built on stilts, in the boughs of ancient mahogany trees, discreetly tucked away in the forest. The tree houses have been crafted from local timber and makuti (palm fronds) and feature large open decks and spacious rooms with large windows to invite the flourishing forest into the luxurious elegance of each room.


TARANGIRE NATIONAL PARK.
Also comparatively close to Arusha (120km) is the Tarangire National Park. It is famous for it dense wildlife population of Wildebeest, Zebra, Elephant, Lion, Hartebeest, Buffalo and many more. This panoramic park should be a must for every itinerary.

Tarangire Safari Lodge
The Camp overlooks the wildlife migration routes from Maasailand into and out of the Park. The 16 bedded camp is situated to take advantage of expansive views over the Silale Swamp system. Only two tents are close to each other, providing convenience for family groups with children. Every tent has beautifully made local furniture and is
decorated with dried flowers and African fabrics. Each has its own private en-suite shower and toilet. The camp is situated on the bluff overlooking the Tarangire river - an extremely popular spot for resident animals.


Tarangire Sopa Lodge
The 'low profile' structure of this lodge is tucked away well into a wooded hillside valley overlooking the Tarangire Hill. This splendid lodge lives fully up to the 5 star reputation of the Sopa chain of hotels scattered throughout the region.


Tarangire Tree tops
This camp features 15 luxury en-suite tents, built atop tree-attached platforms, overlooking the Tarangire Sand River. The camp has been superbly blended into the environment with the sleeping platforms built into a variety of Baobab, Mopani and Wild Fig trees. The dining area is situated close to the swimming pool and elephant water hole.
 

NGORONGORO CRATER
The Ngorongoro Crater, situated 2.286sq meters above the sea level is the largest unbroken calderas in the world and is the second larges extinct crater in the world. Ngorongoro was an active volcano some 8 million years ago, whose cone collapse leaving a crater. The crater covers an area of 260sq km and is surrounded by very steep walls rising 610 meters from the crater floor, and It is a home to 25,000 large Mammals. And over half of them are Elephants, Zebra and Wildebeest and one can find the largest concentration of lions in the area.

Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge
The lodge is perched on the rim of the crater, offering a breath taking view of the crater. It is 2,286 metres above sea level. 90 bedrooms in all, a lounge with panoramic windows and an observation deck.



Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge
Spread along the uppermost rim of the Ngorongoro World Heritage Site. The lodge offers breathtaking views of the crater floor far below. At all Sopa lodges, each room is a suite with two Queen-Sized beds.


Ngorongoro Serena Lodge

THE SERENGETI NATIONAL PARK.
The Serengeti National Park is arguably the best known wildlife sanctuary in the world. . Serengeti means endless plain in the Maasai Language. The so-called big-five-Elephant, Rhino, Lion, Leopard and Buffalo can be seen here including the huge herds of Wildebeest, Gazelle and Zebra. One of the most unique and remarkable scenes is the annual migration of Wildebeest, Zebra, Giraffe, and other plain's animals. As the herd moves to new grazing grounds they are followed by predators such as Lopms.Leopards, Cheetahs and Hyenas. The size of the park is 14,763 sq km as big as Northern Ireland.

Seronera Wildlife Lodge

Lobo Wildlife Lodge 
Considered to be one of the most beautiful lodges in Tanzania, its beauty can be described as breathtaking. It is built into the faults and contours of a massive rock promontory overlooking the Serengeti Plains. At Lobo, a variety of wildlife can be easily viewed from the bedroom window, the swimming pool and the rock-top. A short drive away leads one into the heart of the Serengeti Plains teeming with wildlife.

THE ARUSHA NATIONAL PARK.
The Arusha National Park is one of the smaller national parks in Tanzania with a total of 13 7km only. This park was established in 1960 and is situated only 37km from Arusha town. The major attractions in this park are the Momella Lakes, the Ngurdoto Crater and the Meru Crater with its ash cone at 1,829 metres. A wide variety of animals can be found here. The most common are theAbyssinian black and white colubus monkeys, the velvet monkeys, the red forest duikers, hippos, elephants, giraffes, buffalos, bushbucks and sometimes the leopard.

Momella Lodge
A village of elegant grey and white huts with thatched roofs, with 50 rooms all comfortably furnished. It is an ideal stop over for those wishing to spend a night in this park, or for those wishing to climb Mt. Meru. The famous film by John Wayne,"HATARI", was filmed here in 1960/61.

Oldonyo Orok
With a total of 17 rooms, the lodge was originally built as a private house for the actor Hardy Kruger, who fell in love with the area after the filming of the John Wayne film "Hatari". It is a privately run lodge that caters for small select groups. Candle lit dinners, with fresh home cooking, are held in the timber and thatch living room, backed by a huge roaring log fire and the sounds of the African night to complete the real feel of Africa.
