(5,149m) are Permanently snow capped. Its breathtaking beauty
has to be seen and experienced by one personally. Ascent and
descent takes 5 days and can be climbed by any normal fit

and porter.
CLIMBING MT. KILIMANJARO
ABTZ KM1 MARANGU ROUTE
6 NIGHTS 7 DAYS (5 DAYS TREK)
DAY 1: You arrive at your hotel for Overnight.
DAY 2: Transfer from your hotel to the overnight. Kilimanjaro
National Park Gate at Marangu. From here you trek through
the lush forest to Mandara Hut (90000ft/2750 meters). Stay
overnight.
DAY 3: Leaving the forest you trek along a good path
open grassy moorlands to reach Horombo Hut(12,000ft/3700mt)
Stay overnight.
DAY 4: Continue ascending past the last Water point,
to reach the saddle, a dry area between the peaks of Kibo
and Mawenzi overnight (Kibo 15,000ft/4700mt).
DAY 5: An early start for stiff walk up setup and (18.640
ft /5681 m) in time for sunrise. From there it is possible
to continue to Uhuru Peak (19,3 M40ft/5896m), the Highest
point in Africa. Afterwards descend to Horombo Hut. Stay overnight.
DAY 6: Descend to the park gate from where you are
transferred back to your hotel for overnight stay sunrise.
Then to Uhuru Peak (19,340ft/5896m) the highest point of Africa.
Afterwards descend to Gillman's Point and on down to Horombo
Hut. Stay overnight.
DAY 7: Descend, passing Mandara Hut to the park gate,
from where you are transferred back to your hotel for overnight.
ABTZ KM2 UMBWE ROUTE - 5 NIGHTS/6 DAYS (5 DAYS
TREK)
DAY 1: You arrive at your hotel for overnight Stay.
DAY 2: Transfer from your hotel to Kilimanjaro National
Park Gate at Umbwe. From here you trek narrow ridge between
Lonzo and Umbwe rivers to reach Bivouac No. 1 (also called
Forest Caves) at 9,400ft - I2,800m. Stay at camp for overnight.
DAY 3: Leaving the forest, the path continues to follow
the ridge. Passing through heather and open moorlands. To
reach Barranco Hut (13,000ft/13,900m). Stay at camp overnight.
DAY 4: You turn eastwards and continue ascending through
the dry landscape before droping again to reach Baranco Hut
(13,000ft/3900m). Stay overnight.
DAY 5: The path climbs steeply out of Barranco valley,
across the Karanga valley. Then turns north to reach Barafu
Hut (15,000ft./4,600 m). Stay/camp overnight.
DAY 6: A long day and an early start to reach the crater
rim at Stella Point in time for sunrise then to Uhuru Peak
(19,340ft/5,896m). the highest point in Africa. Afterwards
descend to Gillman'’s Point and on down to Horombo hut. Stay
overnight.
DAY 7: Descend passing Mandara Hut to the park gate,
from where you
are transferred back to your hotel for overnight.
